Welcoming Week is an annual celebration, initiated by Welcoming America, bringing together people in local communities to build unity and a sense of belonging for new and long-time
residents. This year the theme is “Creating Home Together”.
Each day for six days of Welcoming Week we want to lift people’s voices and to celebrate immigrant, refugee, and international communities while inspiring people to be welcoming for a more connected, inclusive, and vibrant region. We will highlight
and recognize someone with an immigrant, refugee, or international background and story that has made an impact in the Cincinnati region. Each person highlighted shares a passion for creating a more diverse, vibrant region and will offer recommendations
through personal experience on how we can create home together.
We ask that you share these stories and your own using the hash tags #WelcomingWeek and #CreatingHomeTogether. We also invite you to connect with us at Cincinnati Compass to learn more about how you can get involved or how we can help lift up your work across the region.
