About Us

Cincinnati Compass is a collaborative project of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the City of Cincinnati, the University of Cincinnati, more than 60 Community Partners and a growing list of investors who believe that immigrants are key contributors to a strong regional economy and a diverse, vibrant community. Welcoming and integrating more immigrants in our community is a shared goal of the supporters of Cincinnati Compass.

The creation of this virtual hub was a key recommendation of Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley’s Task Force on Immigrants. Hundreds of Greater Cincinnatians contributed to the Task Force and developed a vision for the future that includes significant growth in our population from immigrants, refugees and internationals. Cincinnati Compass celebrates the work of the many community organizations that support and engage immigrants today. Together, we will make even more resources and opportunities available.

With the launch of Cincinnati Compass in November 2016, we join six cities across Ohio that are part of the Ohio Welcoming Initiatives Network and even more regions throughout the Midwest that compose the WE Global Network. Together, we are working to make the Midwest a destination and a home for people from around the globe.

Executive Director

The University of Cincinnati, which today has more than 3,000 international students, was the first investor in Cincinnati Compass. UC's early and significant support made it possible to build and launch this portal in 2016. The City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber express their sincere appreciation for UC's contribution to immigrant welcoming and integration in our region.
